Custer State Park, SD

Custer State Park exceeded our expectations. With great views and tons of wildlife we will definitely visit again. This was a good first stop to help us ease into our road trip.

We hiked Sylvan Lake Loop / Sunday Gulch Trail (5mi), Little Devils Tower (3mi) and Lovers Leap Trail (4mi). For a total of 12 miles.

The park released their burros a while back. Now there is a small herd that will come up to you and beg for food.
